The Hallasan National Park Visitor Center provides an overall view of Hallasan’s natural environment, culture, and history.
In exhibition halls 1 through 3 there are seasonal videos that show the creation and myths of Hallasan, its geography and geology, and historical relics. The plants and animals, forest experiences, and ‘365-days of Safety’ are also introduced to the visitors as they move along. There is also a photo zone in the lobby that allows people to take pictures in front of scenes of Hallasan’s slopes as if they were actually there.

Creative Activity Classes
Making animal tracks, leaf stamping & scratching, sensory experiences, Hallasan native animal and plant puzzle fitting, and insect observation using special insect viewers are available for children at all times. Depending on the season, visitors can attend classes such as natural handicrafts, bamboo arrow throwing (tuho), or frame crafts.

Nature Classes
These classes provide opportunities for observing sprouts, making leaf and bark rubbings, pretending to be larva, a sky-walking mirror, and seeing the world through the eyes of a bug.

A Trail of History: Hallasan’s Oreum Tour
This program includes an explanation of Hallasan’s topography and scenery as seen from Eoseungsaengak, and shows historical sites such as the Tochikas made during the Japanese occupation. Visitors can also learn about the formation process of oreums (parasitic cone volcanoes) and their relationship with the Jeju islanders, and also hear forest stories which aid in understanding the evolution of Jeju’s forests and the plants and animals that inhabit them.

Hallasan Through the Valleys
While looking at the World Natural Heritage Hallasan National Park’s geographical features and formations left by lava which flowed between the valleys, visitors can learn about Hallasan’s volcanic activity, and listen to stories about Guringul Cave and the valley that connects the forests and the sea. Here tourists can also take a look at various herbs, shrubs, mushrooms, insects, birds, and aquatic organisms of the forest and learn about the forest’s ecology.

Introduction to the Flora and Fauna of the Alpine wetlands
At the 1100 Highland, visitors can learn about the ways alpine plants survive, island effect in the wetlands, pollution indicator species of lichen, and the wetlands environment including the water, soil, and bio-system. There is also an opportunity to directly observe and learn facts about various aquatic organisms.
